Braveheart movie review

Braveheart

Mil Gibson, director and actor of this movie, plays the role of "braveheart", who  represents William Wallace. This man was one of the most important heroes in the scotish history. He did not onely fought for scotish but he also won freedom to scotland. During the course of the movie we can see the violence, the bad treetment and many other facts that affected the scotish country. The movie starts with William as a child, who suffers the death of his father and brother, killed in battle against the English garrison. William, after this loss is raised by his uncle until he comes back to scotland and gets married secretely with his childhood love, who is killed by the English opressors. After she is killed, Wallace starts killing these english souldiers while other scotish people started joining him destroying every English base in scotland. At the end, William Wallace is captured, tortured and killed by the english. Wallace left a legacy in the scotish history. Thanks to him scotland is now an independent country, but still part of the United Kingdom just like Wales and the north of Ireland.
On my opinion this movie has a very important meaning as it is based on true events. But the most important fact, according to me, is that people can get informed about the live and legacy of this very important heroe that he was, William Wallace.

The secret millionaire

Nadim sadek
Nadim Sadek is a millionaire half Irish and half egyptian who owns a private island and takes advantages of the things it has to earn money. He participated in a program, "The Secret Millionaire", he went to Cork where he would find people to help them with some money.

Nadim went with a fake name, which was Liam, he gave money to people who deserved it, people who did things for others and didn't really do it for themselves.

In my opinion this program helps everyone even the ones who watch it, because people will get money and they will be able to invest it in their charities, they can make them better. Also it gives the people who donate the money to feel how helping others is, they get satisfied, they feel great and they help. And the ones that watch the tv program can realize about other people that may be having a bad time.

On my opinion this program is very helpfull because it can help people that really need the money or institutions that could use it for good reasons.

The Catcher in the Rye 1 to 4

Questions:

  1. Yes, He kind of fakes it because he tries to pretend that nothing happend. When Mrs. Spencer asked Holden how has he been, he inmediatly thought that Spencer told his mom about Holden getting kicked out.
  2. Mrs spencer: "How have you been?", the way she asked me, I knew right away old spencer'd told her i'd been kicked out. Here we can see that holden is over thinking the situation, he thinks that Spencer told his mother.
  3. This comment means that every person plays this "game" there own way, with there own desicions and opinions. But holden reacted by saying "Game my ass". This tells us that he doesn't care about it.
  4. Holden leaves Elkton Hills because he felt like every one in that school were phonies, specially the headmaster. "I left Elkton Hills because I was surrounded by phonies". "They has this headmaster, Mr. Haas, that was the phoniest bastard I ever met in my life". We can tell that he really hated him.

E-petition

Fix the number 2 rugby field
Responsable department: sports department

I have heard from mant of my friends that our school should fix the second field because it has spots withou grass, it is uneven and it is hard to play in.
My friends, including me complain a lot about this field. We think that it isn't very plesent to play soccer or rugby on that field.
This is why I think it would be much better, and students woyld actually enjoy staying for sports.
I hope that the sports department considers this petition because on my opinion, the school spends to much money on buying better computers and ipads. They could use that money to buy better desks and seats or fix our rugby field.

Chapter 4

Questions The Catcher in the Rye Chapter 4

1)    Describe the relationship between Holden and Stradlater.  Are they friends?  Why or why not?  Refer to specific actions the characters take or things they say to one another in the text.

Holden and Stradlater are a strange kind of friends because, they are friends, but they (or at least Holden) knows many bad things about him and criticizes him. For example, Holden says that Stradlater is conceited, because Stradlater thinks that "He is the handsomest guy". Holden also says that he has good things like when he says "You don't have to explain every goddam thing to him"

2)    How does Holden feel about Jane Gallagher?  What actions or remarks demonstrate his attitude toward her?
Holden only says that he was a good friend of her but he may like her because when Stradlater said that she was dating her and that she was very near, Holden got very excited about going to see her again after a good time. Also, he wants to keep a good a image for her. This can be seen when Holden says "Dont tell her (Jane) that I got expelled" to Stradlater

3)    What is the reason Holden gives for not going downstairs and saying hello to Jane?  In your opinion, is this the real reason?  Why or why not?
Holden gave the reason that he was not in the right mood to go and see her after many years, but I think that that's not the real reason. I think that he liked her and he wanted to be more prepared before seeing her.
